Protection Officer Network Familiarisation (PONF)
The Protection Officer Network Familiarisation (PONF) Project is designed to enhance the knowledge and competency of Protection Officers (POs) operating across the Sydney Trains network. The completion of the relevant PONF package will be mandatory by the 1st of April 2026, for the area you are requested to work.
The project will be delivered into 8 online induction packages, covering the Sydney Trains Network.
The project will produce region-specific familiarisation packs, including videos, diagrams, and supporting documents that introduce POs to key operational conditions.
Ongoing maintenance and change management will be required to keep materials up to date with network changes, rule updates, and operational adjustments.
