The website has the latest versions of the Network Rules and Procedures, Network Local Appendices, as well as contractor information, Safeworking policies, Safe Tracks flyers, Weekly Notices and SAFE Notices.

Please note that documents on this website are current only on the day they are downloaded or printed. Users must regularly check this website for the latest documents.

Everyone who works in the Network is responsible for safety and the integrity of the Network.

The Network Rules, Network Procedures and Network Forms should be read together and must be followed for the safe operation of the Network.

Only the Director Networks Standards, Systems and Quality, Sydney Trains may authorise amendments to Network Rules, Network Procedures and Network Forms.

Employers and contractors in NSW are required to provide a system of work and a working environment that is safe and without risk to health. The Network Rules, Network Procedures, Network Forms, and any Operator Specific Procedures (OSPs) form part of this system of work. Employers and contractors in NSW must provide the necessary information, instruction, training and supervision.

Employers and contractors in NSW are required to maintain the safe system of work by monitoring the effectiveness of the system. This process is an integral part of providing and maintaining a working environment and workplace that is safe and without risk to health.

Employees, while at work, must take reasonable care for the health and safety of people who are at the employee’s place of work and who may be affected by the employee’s acts or omissions at work. Employees who act in good faith and in accordance with the Network Rules and Network Procedures and other safeworking procedures prescribed by their employers will be regarded as having fulfilled their obligations and duties.
